What is 3D TV?
The term 3D TV refers to a set of technologies, applied to the traditional TV set LCD type with LED or Plasma (PDP), watching movies, TV channels, videos and games with a visual effect of ” depth “effect that the human brain associated with the format (3D) with the ability of stereoscopic vision.

What technology do you use?
The technologies now allow the display of images in three dimensions on a flat TV based on the principle of stereoscopic vision (stereopsis). The distances between our eyes is approx. 6 or 7 cm, which displays the same object or landscape from two different angles (parallax), our brains instantly brings those two images and gives us the optical perception of “depth”. Existing technologies which use the principle of stereopsis are: the traditional anaglyph , the autoestereoscopia, polarization, “Shutter” (or active glasses). The new 3D TV technology rely on shutter (in Spanish “blind”).

How does a 3D TV?
A 3D TV in our eyes sends two frames of the same shot with the only difference in the angle of approach: a frame for the right eye and one for the left and so on alternately (at the time of shooting a 3D movie need two cameras for each approach or a camcorder 3D). Being the same power (eg a sunset, a landscape, an object) from different angles, the slight lateral displacement, or overlap of images is interpreted by our brain as a single representation, which gives us ” illusion “of 3D. In summary, the brain believes that the flat image has depth. Naturally the whole process is so fast that the human eye does not distinguish between the two images, unlike the “melt” into one. Why do I need glasses?
What good are your glasses? Do I need to buy 3D TV glasses? Yes, for movies, TV channels, video games or 3D glasses are necessary specific, known or active shutter glasses, also known as ” active shutter glasses “because synchronized with television eyes: when your 3D TV sends a frame (picture box) for the right eye, the lens recognizes the signal and blind the other eye, the left. The two frames are not the same shooting, recorded from two points of view, the TV sends high-speed, one for each eye, the brain melts and we get the visual impression of 3D. The shutter glasses come with the issuer (with IR or Bluetooth) connected to the TV (or incorporated) that is responsible for transmitting the TV signal. The glasses are available in different sizes, are an integrated rechargeable battery that ensures a good range of vision in 3D and cost 50 to 150 euros etre. Read the rest of this entry »

Online TV formatToday everyone wants to do a web TV. But beyond clamorous advertising and new fancy video players used by the new web TV stations, very little innovation has been used in the production of content. Here are my personal recommendations for small online publisher that wants to create his first TV station or video channel online.

Send Video Broadcasting to any person on the planet that has an Internet connection is now available to hundreds of millions of people who have a high speed connection, but only a small fraction of them is this ratio.

Using online video streaming services live free or low price, you can start your broadcast to the world in minutes. All you need is a webcam, a headset, a good microphone and an Internet connection to broadband. The rest can be easily delegated to Ustream, Mogulus, Kyte.tv, Stickam, Operator11 by the “live” and Brightcove, Splashcast, YouTube, Blip.tv and Veoh for the final, non-live, of the distribution.

But look beyond the video publishing service that finds the best your needs, which is a bit more complicated to deal with is that thing inside your content for your online video show is successful.

A large number of those who have been the first on this front have been replicated, often with low talent, resources and implementing the ideas, issues and “formats” TV you’ve been looking for traditional TV the past 20 years.

We consider this a real innovation? Why someone who is not your friend or acquaintance should see your show instead of “equivalent” show in the traditional media? Out of all those who follow your video online program because you like them and because they are “studying” this new medium and are curious to see what you did, how truly passionate viewers can conquer your TV online? How many of your viewers can find true “value” in your video program and feel that they have “won” something to have seen? Read the rest of this entry »

In the US, many great tv shows are posted online, but only for a short period of time. If you want to catch these shows, you must be quick. After a month or so, most are gone, frustrating those who want to watch tv online. There doesn’t seem to be any set pattern between the networks who seem to enjoy making tv online in the US unpredictable for the internet viewer who was overjoyed to find the series, only to have it taken away once they were hooked.

The UK seems to have the right idea regarding tv online. Programmes are posted for catch up viewing, while classic tv shows remain available. However, some tv shows are rented, making an addiction to a series at least worthwhile as the series may be rented all at one time for a very small price. There is no question about certain episodes being taken away at random.

At least residents of the UK don’t have hurry up and watch an entire series in one night, In the US, the programme could be gone tomorrow and a person must be quick about watching, or have the ability to download all the series. Either way, the ability to watch tv online in the UK seems better, as BC shows are shown. They have a reputation of high quality, and many in the US would love to be able to watch online tv from the UK, but cannot legally do so.
